Trainings in Computing

The e-Learning Café of the Niue Computer Society (Inc.) in association with WINTEC (of Waikato Polytech) offers study online for Certificate in Computer Applications. These courses are FREE for the first 40 people to register, on first come first serve basis, so hurry up. These computer courses is for people who have none or very little computer knowledge and experience, only New Zealand, Australian citizens and those born on Niue, Cook Islands and Tokelau are eligible. Students have 15 weeks to complete each course starting from the date student register. There are 10 courses that needed to complete before being awarded the Certificate in Computer Applications, each course worth 4 credits, 10 courses will provide a total of 40 credits. Students may choose to do one course at a time, and that is recommended, because the more courses are open the more load students need to carry especially meeting the time frame of completing the courses within 15 weeks. Students have up to three years to complete the 10 course programme. Students who wish to complete the ICDL (International Computer Driver’s License) and CC3 qualifications need to pass also the courses required for those programmes, however at the moment NCS e-Learning Café is not a certified testing centre for those two programmes. All these courses are provided through online study mode, including sitting exams as well. However students need to attend a General Session first at the e-Learning Café for registration and information sharing before commencement of study. Additional lecture sessions may be provided depending on need.

Enrollment for these courses are now closed 13 March 2007. Please watch this space for our notice on the next round of enrollments.
